1. Shipping
Most of our inventory is kept in a UK warehouse. However, we do not keep UK stock of all the items that are manufactured in Japan especially the many peripheral items from Kondo. Therefore we ship ship such items directly from Japan. (This is optional for EC customers. See sec. 4)
Some items, especially from Japanese supplier Kondo, may take longer to procure. Please contact us for if you want a time estimate on particular items or if you would like us to send your shipment using another courier.
1.1 Shipping from UK
Items are sent tracked and insured with our preferred courier Parcelforce.com (handled by GLS in Europe). Shipping normally takes 4-5 days. Once items are shipped you will receive a tracking number and related
tracking web site.
Items up to 2kg can be sent using Airmail which takes about 4 days to arrive to worldwide destinations.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the package. For deliveries in the UK we charge a small flat rate for any size package weighing above .5kg. For small value items we give an option to use Royal-Mail First-Class.
1.2 Shipping from Japan
Customers with addresses outside of European Community will receive our Japanese products directly from Japan. (We do not collect any value-added-tax from customers outside of Europe).
Items
are delivered by EMS international insured parcel service. Please
contact us if you want us to send the items using another courier or your DHL/UPS account.
Shipping costs are calculated based on destination and weight of the package.
Packages
usually arrive within 5 business days but may experience unforeseen
delays when passing through your country's customs office
2. Returns
In accordance with the UK Distance Selling Regulations, if you experience any problems with the items received or in the unlikely event that any parts are missing or damaged, you may return the goods and receive a full refund.
3. Payment
We can accept payments by Paypal, Google, CCNOW, Cheque, Credit & Debit Cards, or by Bank Wire Transfer. You may select the method of Payment during the Checkout process.
The base currency of our store is GBP although USD and EUR are also welcome. Exchange rates for USD and EUR are regularly updated. Credit&Debit Card payment via CCNOW may show up in USD currency.
Please note that your Credit or Debit Card may be charged before the items are shipped and that on your statement, the charge may show up as ROBOSAVVY, CCNOW, Google or PayPal.
You will receive an email with the details of your purchase and you are required to retain an easily accessible copy of the transaction data.
4. VAT and other taxes
VAT (Value Added Tax) of 17.5% will be charged if customer address is in the UK or if
customer address is in another member state of the European Union and not a VAT registered company. If shipping address is not an EC member country or if customer provides us with a
European company VAT registration number, we will not charge the
17.5% tax.
Items are shipped from our UK warehouse to our UK and European
customers therefore there are no extra European
import duties and taxes.
Customers with addresses outside of the European Union will normally receive our shipments from UK. However, in some cases of orders for Japanese items, we may ship to non-EC custsomers directly from Japan. Customers outside of Europe may be exposed to import taxes when items are shipped from UK or from Japan.
USA - No import duty is applicable for electronics coming from Japan or UK under the free-trade agreements.
Other
countries - Many countries apply import duties, customs and VAT to
imported goods. Please check what if any rates apply for imported
educational reduced-scale model electronic kits from Japan to your
country.
